Burnside House, Newlands

An existing extension to this semi-detached sandstone property was partially demolished to make way for this contemporary addition.

As well as providing some much-needed additional storage and a downstairs shower room, the main focus was the creation of a new open-plan kitchen, dining and family space.

A new connection to the garden was created by way of bi-folding doors and corner glazing, with daylighting further enhanced by a high-level window and generous rooflights above the kitchen area.
